State Public Works Board - Rehabilitation of Food Service Facilities

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

This project remodels approzimately 3,400 sf of Building 4 food services facility and 1,485 sf of building 5 commissary building to meet health and life safety codes. Upon completion, this facility provides meal services to 190 beds at Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services (SNAMHS), 56 beds at Nevada Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS), 40 beds at Desert Regional Center (DRC) for a total of 286 beds. The project addresses corrective measures such as  fire and life safety code deficiencies inclusive of remodeling the cooking hood exhaust shaft system, replacing the hood wash system, and replacing the dry chemical fire suppression system with a wet chemical system. The scope also included a new fire sprinkler system, correct ADA compliance deficiencies, rehab interior and exterior of building, repair plumbing, upgrade electrical systems and replace HVAC and refrigerator units.
