The Water Reclamation Facility, a 24,400 square feet project was unique in which the existing building, that was scheduled to be renovated to meet the Client's needs, was originally built in multiple phases throughout its life span. JVC Architects and the design team faced the challenge of renovating a facility in which the as-built drawings were not complete or did not match field conditions. Collaboration between the Client, Contractor and Design team was essential in addressing existing field conditions that affected the design of the project and caused modification in the construction documents. It was imperative that a strong communication was established and kept between the project team so that the project completed on time, within budget and with minor complications.
